What is the Deaf/HH Resource Directory?
One of the Council's current priorities is the creation of a
comprehensive resource directory for deaf and hard-of-hearing people,
professionals, parents, and stakeholders.
What will the directory include?
The directory will include the contact information of organizations,
associations, vendors, interpreters, churches, schools, and other providers who
specialize in serving deaf or hard-of-hearing people. Those who wish to
have their personal contact information included in the directory may do so.
What is the status of the directory right now?
The CDHH staff are diligently working to collect the information that will be
included in the directory. Further, we are looking for funding sources
that will offset the printing costs, which will be substantial. We
anticipate that this project will be completed by the summer of 2008.
What can I do to help?
We appreciate it when individuals send us information that would help the
communities we serve. If you know of organizations, associations, vendors,
interpreters, churches, schools, or other providers who specialize in serving
deaf or hard-of-hearing people, please email
Cindy Schreiner the information.
